The course covers such subjects as converting a farm to organic production, the importance of soil, manurial and rotational systems within the farm environment. The study programme helps the student to see the importance of the health of organic farm animals, looking at the principles of disease prevention and control measures in cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. The use of Homoeopathy as well as consumer's requirements and the selling of organic produce are also considered.

Lesson 1 Record keeping in organic systems, the two ways of converting a farm.
Lesson 2 The importance of manure. The benefit of organic livestock and grazing.
Lesson 3 Feeding organic stock. Keeping records of feeds, diets, minerals and vitamin.
Lesson 4 Animal's resistance to disease, the use of Homoeopathy, controlling disease.
Lesson 5 Consumer's needs, labelling organic food, selling the product. Marketing.
